Manikarnika, the queen of Jhansi also popularly known as Lakshmi Bai was a brave warrior and the first woman who fought against the British. Kangana Ranaut perfectly portrayed the character of the great rebellion queen in the movie Manikarnika and her look as the queen of Jhansi was mesmerizing. Born a Maharashtrian, Manikarnika Tambe was married to Gangadhar Rao Newalkar, Maharaja of Jhansi and later on became famous as Lakshmi Bai.
